Dame Maggie Smith is the new face of fashion brand Loewe Dame Maggie Smith has sent people wild with an unexpected new project. The Harry Potter star, 88, began her career seven decades ago and is best known for portraying Minerva McGonagall in the Harry Potter films from 2001 until 2011, Violet Crawley in the Downton Abbey TV and film series’, as well as in films including The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and The Lady in the Van.
