Accessing ground water through boreholes is one of the main focus points to augment water supply, with the Gift of the Givers and the city having sunk quite a number already. The struggle to access water in the metro is slowly becoming a thing of the past. This investment will yield over 90 million litres of water per year for distressed communities in Walmer Township. The current daily usage in the metro is over 260 mega litres per day.
“I really appreciate this. I have been without water for the longest time and now I have water,” a resident says.
