Officers responded about 1:30 a.m. to a shooting in the 4400 block of West Illinois Avenue, near South Cockrell Hill Road, officials said. When officers arrived, they learned Cesar Avalos had been shot outside a business in the area.He was taken to a local hospital by a private car where he died, with no suspect information currently available.No additional details were shared about the shooting.
