DALE COUNTY, Ala. - Dale County Schools are addressing several areas of concern and preparing students for careers in healthcare through a telemedicine project.This is to help with mental and general health care accessibility. This program will impact the nursing and health science programs the school district currently has, while also training students in the health field.
“It is exciting for our health science teachers to be able to utilize current technology that we can provide the components for and be able to allow them to train our students using that, so again when they go out into the community where telehealth and telemedicine are more prevalent, our students will have those capabilities and that training,” Lisa Welch, the career tech director for the school district, said.
