In the future, British Columbians may no longer need to spring ahead or fall back.

More than two dozen U.S. states, including all three on the West Coast, are mulling proposals to simplify the twice-annual Daylight Savings time change by making daylight time a year-round thing.

Postmedia columnist Vaughn Palmer reported Tuesday that B.C. Premier John Horgan recently wrote the governors of Washington, Oregon and California to suggest a coordinated effort. “It makes sense to me that we move in unison on this matter,” Horgan wrote, adding, “we are closely following developments on the West Coast of the U.S.”
