A coroner has given provisional details into the cause of death of a dad who died after he was stabbed on a tram. More than two months after the tragedy, an inquest was opened and adjourned into the death of 32-year-old Kyle Knowles, of Staunton Drive, Sherwood.
He died on an NET tram at the Highbury Vale tram stop, Highbury Vale located between Basford and Bulwell. After his death, he was identified by his brother who attended Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham, with a detective constable.Identity was confirmed on June 29. Mr Clow said the post-mortem report had been received on Thursday , and the medical cause of death was "provisionally stab wounds to Mr Knowles's shoulder and back".
Nottinghamshire Police has been contacted by Nottinghamshire Live for an update on whether anyone has been charged in connection with the inquiry. Neighbours in the area said that two helicopters were seen hovering above the area, with a fire crew and ambulances also present at the scene
