DA member of Parliament Glynnis Breytenbach said Batohi must explain the rationale not to prosecute in this matter to Parliament’s justice committee. “Despite evidence like CCTV footage and mobile phone records, the DPP in Limpopo claims there’s no reasonable prospect of a successful prosecution. The NPA owes the public a full explanation and Advocate Batohi has a constitutional duty to ensure that the rule of law is upheld in this critical matter.”
