The African National Congress (ANC) has tabled a motion of no confidence against Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink, citing lack of service delivery and financial mismanagement. The DA is now negotiating with the ANC to save Brink ahead of the vote scheduled for Thursday, September 26th.
The ANC held a meeting on Thursday night to deliberate about the future of Tshwane as mayor Cilliers Brink faces a no-confidence vote.
, ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba confirmed that his party would vote in favour of the no-confidence motion against Brink. It would also see a level of cooperation between the DA and the ANC to ensure there are no frivolous motions of confidence submissions until the next elections. The party said an administration that has actively been undoing neglect, misgovernance and corruption is being threatened at the hands of a party that has seemingly lost its way.
