The DA says EFF and ActionSA sold out Tshwane residents by “colluding” with the ANC to remove mayor Cilliers Brink.
This comes as executive mayor Cilliers Brink from the DA is set to be ousted via a motion of no confidence. On Thursday, ActionSA revealed that it is no longer part of the current multi-party coalition government in the metro. TheDA spokesperson in Tshwane Kwena Moloto said that while the City of Tshwane’s performance has been consistently improving, this attack on the bedrock of a well-performing government threatens to halt all the progress made to rescue the capital city from decay.
“The people of Tshwane and our coalition partners have been betrayed by an ostensibly power-hungry party that aims to put the capital city on the same track as the other metropolitan municipalities in Gauteng, Ekurhuleni, and Johannesburg. “Our client cannot do so between the two days between when you gave him the notice and the council meeting.
