More than two months ago, a dozen D.C. students asked the school board to support a plan for greener, more climate-friendly schools. They vowed to keep showing up — and grow their numbers — until the elected officials agreed. At a recent board meeting, with almost 8o students in their ranks, the students’ demands were finally met.
