The Lakers are reportedly finalizing a deal to land D'Angelo Russell and Mike Conley is headed to Minnesota as part of a three-team trade involving Russell Westbrook.
The three-team trade will send Lakers' guard Russell Westbrook and a lightly-protected first-round 2027 draft pick to Utah, with Los Angeles receiving Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt in return. Minnesota would get Conley and draft picks in the deal.
Russell played his first two seasons with the Lakers before stints with Brooklyn, Golden State and Minnesota over the past six years. Conley has spent the last four years in Utah after playing his first 12 seasons in Memphis. Conley averaged 10.7 points and 7.7 assists per game in 43 appearances with the Jazz this season while Russell averaged 17.9 points and 6.2 assists for Minnesota in 54 games in 2022-23.
