A CYCLIST who was badly injured after being catapulted from his bike when it hit a gaping pothole has said he plans to take legal action against Glasgow CityJonathan Deeney was left with a broken right wrist after the horrific accident near to the junction of Devon Street and Pollokshaws Road.
“Work is still ongoing to finish the South City Way route, so you need to use the roads at certain sections, and on this occasion, I hit this huge pothole. He added: “I’m speaking to a firm of solicitors right now because I shouldn’t have had to go through this. They have filled it in now, but the road should never have been allowed to get into that sort of state in the first place.
“After my crash, thankfully someone stopped to help me up as I was in a lot of pain and in a state of shock. Just as I was pulling myself together another cyclist went flying from her bike after hitting the same pothole. She was a GP and knocked out two of her front teeth.
