A cyclist has died following a horror crash involving a van on a busy road in Kirkintilloch. The fatal crash took place on the A806, Initiative Road, on approach to Lindsaybeg Roundabout.
Police arrested the male driver of the van, aged 62, in connection with road traffic offences. He has since been released pending further enquiries.The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and re-opened around 6.05pm. “This is a busy road, and we know there were other road users on Initiative Road at the time of this road crash. Anyone that has not already spoken with, or contacted police is asked to make contact with us.
