Cycling SA's Ngwenya says police book to be thrown at disgraced Bester: 'He was arrogant'
Cycling South Africa president Qondisa Ngwenya says a criminal case is the next step to ensure disgraced cyclist and coach Shaun-Nick Bester is kept away from the sport because of gross sexual misconduct .
Bester was initially found guilty by CSA last year for the misconduct that involved two minors - aged 14 and 17 - through a disciplinary process, after Bester's lawyers asked the CSA board"to reach an agreement in terms of which he would be suspended for a short period of time and that a non-disclosure agreement would be signed".
This was rejected by CSA, and the cycling body undertook an investigation, which found Bester guilty of all misconduct charges.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
