A reputable Financial Services Group is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a technical administrative or engineering role, with a proven track record of managing cybersecurity toolsets. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of cybersecurity functions.
These include defining the parameters necessary for security solutions to operate effectively, contributing to the engineering and implementation of these solutions, executing operations supported by these tools, and providing technical and functional support to users. A comprehensive understanding of various cybersecurity toolsets is essential. This includes IAM, PAM, Firewall, NAC, WAF, DDoS, MFA, MDM, Endpoint Protection, DLP, Vulnerability Scanning, AD, Windows OS, Linux OS, Network and Wi-Fi Administration. You will be tasked with developing and implementing robust security architecture strategies encompassing traditional network and micro segmentation, defense-in-depth, remote access, encryption technologies, backup and replication, Software Defined Networking (SDN), network function virtualization, zero trust models, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)/Secure Service Edge (SSE), and overlay networks and secure enclaves. A key aspect of this role is ensuring security operations resilience through both threat prevention and detection. This involves implementing network and application firewalls, identity and access management solutions, SaaS detection mechanisms, and robust encryption (SSL, PKI) protocols. You will also be responsible for establishing threat detection capabilities through log analysis and correlation, proactive threat hunting, insider threat detection, integration with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), leveraging Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), utilizing deception technologies for breach detection, full packet inspection, and identifying misconfigurations. Furthermore, you will manage identities by overseeing credentialing processes, account creation and deletion, Single Sign On (SSO) functionalities, and privileged access management (PAM). In the event of security breaches, you will be expected to handle them promptly and effectively, employing rapid response protocols and comprehensive remediation strategies. You will also conduct methodical testing and assessments of security products to ensure they align with specific operational requirements and industry standards. Finally, you will be responsible for compiling detailed reports documenting security incidents and the corresponding actions taken. You will manage operations, changes, and incidents, provide support and guidance to stakeholders on installing and operating security solutions, and design and produce relevant indicators, reporting documents, and performance reports on security solutions.
