People in the Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness areas have voted for their next PCC
Voters across Cumbria have gone to the polls to choose their next Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner .
The candidates who were standing in the elections were David Allen , Mike Johnson and Adrian Waite .The PFCC has responsibility for governing Cumbria Police, setting the police precept and budget and holding its chief constable to account. They must also put in place arrangements to deliver an efficient and effective fire and rescue service, set fire and rescue objectives and appoint the Chief Fire Officer, holding them to account.
PCC elections also took place in other parts of the UK including Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire and North Yorkshire.
