Aaron will be going down in history after pulling this off 😂
A primary school pupil from Lanarkshire managed to convince legendary DJ and radio host George Bowie to play at his leavers' prom after months of campaigning.
The campaign started when the 11-year-old spoke to George on the Kool Ride to School, chancing his arm by saying to the breakfast radio host himself that he had heard a rumour that he would be playing his P7 leavers' prom, to which George replied, “Nice try wee man”.Since then, Aaron, alongside his mum Lynsey and dad David, worked hard to make the Cumbernauld youngster’s dream a reality, reports Lanarkshire Live.
“Between me, my Mrs and Aaron pestering George to come, he eventually did. You honestly couldn’t write it.George Bowie surprised Abronhill Primary’s P7 leavers at their prom by playing a 30-minute set before his co-host Cassie took over. David added: “We didn’t know he was coming. We were hopeful because he asked Aaron about the time and place of it, and that never went out on air. So that gave us hope.
