It seeks a strong candidate who can serve on the volunteer board that provides fixed route transit in Cumberland, Dauphin, York, and Adams counties.

The Cumberland County Commissioners, in partnership with the Cumberland Area Economic Development Committee are looking to fill a volunteer position on the Susquehanna Regional Transportation Authority Board .

The board is looking for a strong candidate who can serve on the volunteer board that provides fixed route transit in Cumberland, Dauphin, York, and Adams counties, a press release said. The board is comprised of voting members with representatives from Adams, York Cumberland, Dauphin, and Harrisburg City, with a non-voting ex officio member from Franklin County. The board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. in locations throughout the fixed route service area. The meetings are held in person with a virtual option.

This appointment is for the remaining portion of a three-year term, expiring in 2024. If the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners chooses to reappoint this position, the new appointment would be a five-year term, the release said.Demonstrated interest in the health and wellbeing of the county.Critical thinker, with the ability to interpret financial and performance data.Knowledge of social economic, land use transportation and demographic characteristics of the county and service area.
