The school hopes to open the new wing by January 2024.
“I am so excited about this project, and maybe that is because of the science and tech geek in me,” Saint Patrick Church Pastor, Rev. Don Bender, said in a news release. “Our students are going to broaden their minds so much in seeing the use of science, technology, engineering and math through all of their subjects as these rooms will be open for all teachers to use.”
The 75-year-old school is located at 87 Marsh Drive, and provides a Catholic education for students in 3-year-old pre-K through 8th grade. The school has an enrollment of around 400 students. The project took shape after an anonymous donor contributed $500,000. Another donor has pledged $2 million over a two-year period. Saint Patrick Church has pledged about $500,000 toward the project. The school is working on fundraising for the remaining $500,000.
