Drugs supplied by Baishi Bailey also made other people “violently sick” in a series of incidents that prosecutors connected in 2020.
Duan McNeal, Josh Cuff Sr., Jackie Berrier and Kristina Bailey died at different times on different days of fentanyl and crack cocaine toxicity in December 2020.Their final phone call was to Baishi Bailey, the source of the crack cut with fentanyl that made them and a slew of others who survived sick, according to Nicole Vito, a prosecutor with the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office.
Cumberland County Judge Jessica Brewbaker sentenced him to 8-24 years in state prison for those four felonies while dismissing the rest of the charges involving criminal use of a communication device, possession with intent to distribute, and more — they would have been merged into the drug delivery resulting in death counts, Vito said.
Cuff, 50, died Dec. 19 after he and a confidential informant bought the crack cocaine laced with fentanyl from Bailey at a home on Fairground Avenue in Carlisle. Another confidential informant said that he and McNeal bought crack from Bailey and became violently ill from it. McNeal did not survive the encounter with the drugs.
