The capital city is starting construction work in the next week or so on replacement of the aging culvert at Virginia River near the intersection of Glenyere Street and Torbay Road in the east end.The project includes the replacement of the existing culvert, with greater flood-proofing measures in the area of Virginia River.

Access to area businesses will be maintained at the Torbay Road intersection, but Gleneyere Street will be closed to traffic coming from Torbay Road, with a detour in place while the work is being carried out.Sidewalks and trails will continue to be accessible.
