The Correction Service of Canada says Winnipeg Police have been notified and arrest warrants have been issued for two female inmates from a minimum security healing lodge in the city.

Authorities say at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, staff members of the Eagle Women's Healing Lodge discovered 30-year-old Christine Goodwin and 24-year-old Hailey Regent were missing, and immediately contacted police

Goodwin is described as 5'7" tall, 221 lbs. with a medium complexion, brown eyes and black hair with tattoos on both hands, left arm, both calves and her neck. She is currently serving a more than three-year sentence for possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a scheduled substance, failure to comply with conditions of release order and failure to comply with probation order.

Regent is described as 5'10" tall, 252 lbs. with a fair complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair with tattoos on her fingers, right forearm, right thigh, left wrist, left shoulder, right upper arm, left hand and neck.The CSC says an investigation into Goodwin and Regent's disappearance will be conducted with Eagle Women's Healing Lodge.This report by The Canadian Press was first published Sept. 17, 2022.
