Crusaders kicked off the new season with a 1-0 win over Glentoran on Friday night
Crusaders got the new season up and running with a spirited win at the Oval on Friday night. Kieran Offord scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory over Glentoran in East Belfast .
The Crues boasted a number of new faces in their starting line-up on Friday night, including Jacob Blaney, Harry Franklin, Jordan Stewart and goalscorer Offord. Neil added: "Crues looking strong. Well done Declan on great recruitment of new players for the team." Friday's Premiership curtain-raiser promised much but turned into a drab affair. Former Glens and Crues defender Paul Leeman said on BBC that the game had a pre-season feel about it.
