The Cruise self-driving car struck a fire truck around 10 PM and forced one passenger to be transported in an ambulance to local medical facilities.

The incident occurred on Thursday around 10 PM in the Tenderloin district of San Francisco, at the intersection of Polk and Turk Streets, Cruise, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. One person was transported via ambulance with what the company believed were"non-severe injuries."

"One of our cars entered the intersection on a green light and was struck by an emergency vehicle that appeared to be en route to an emergency scene," Cruise posted to X. "Our primary concern is the rider and their welfare, and we have reached out to offer support.
