. The eye-catching red vehicle, synonymous with the festive period after the famous 1990s advert, stopped at the Co-op in East Leake today .
It is present outside the store in Main Street until 8pm and comes as part of its UK tour. People from across the county and beyond came out to collect a can of Coke and a photo opportunity. Among them was Ticayhan Woolman, 12, who visited with mum Lorraine Woolman, 49, from Leicester."It's absolutely amazing, I love it," said Lorraine."We went to see it in Leicester eight years ago, Ticayhan was about three then. It's snowing in Leicester and I said 'come on we've still got to go'."
Selena Hudson, 27, also came with her son, Gabriel, from Gotham. She said:"It’s our favourite time of the year, the kids love to see it on the telly. This is all he has been going on about all day. "I was so happy when I found out it was coming here. In previous years it went to Netherfield and we didn’t get a chance to go. This is just lovely here.
