Sales of Crocs, an aesthetically controversial comfort shoe, boomed at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.Pitmaster Bryan Bingham admits that he was apprehensive, six or seven years ago, when his wife came home sporting a pair of Crocs, the comfort shoes that made their debut to a puzzled world in 2002.
"When I first saw them, I was kind of embarrassed to try them. I thought I was maybe reaching full dad potential, wearing these," Bingham recalled Wednesday."But then I tried them, and that all went out the window. I was like, who cares anymore?"
