McCormick - like most of his primary opponents - has curated a policy platform that’s very close to what he believes national policy would be had former President Donald J. Trump been re-elected. Speaking on Ukraine, McCormick said he likes the evolving sanctions on Russia and would like to see the Biden Administration continue providing military aid to Ukraine, includingBut, he carefully drew the line at no-fly zones or other measures that would invite direct American conflict with Russia.
