Cricket South Africa's director of cricket Enoch Nkwe made it clear that Dewald Brevis's international cricket priorities remain with South Africa despite his early franchise T20 globetrotting. | Sport24news
Brevis, who broke Shikhar Dhawan's Under-19 Cricket World Cup run-scoring record at this year's event that was held in the West Indies, has yet to make his List A and First-Class debut for the Titans.
"Domestic cricket is important and we'll always encourage a player to play domestic cricket," Nkwe said. "We're not short-sighted and it's not like we're not aware of what is happening in his space. There's regular engagement. Unlike Brevis, Stubbs didn't shoot the lights out as an Under-19, but pushed the selection envelope with impressive domestic performances for the Warriors. He hasn't had an extensive franchise T20 run like Brevis, but has seamlessly graduated into the national team.
