North Olmsted’s latest dessert shop CREPEscape is looking to give back to its hometown with freshly made crepes, waffles, waffle sticks, and beyond. The menu is full of desserts aimed at Greater Cleveland locals with a sweet tooth.
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — It’s not always easy to find specialized desserts like French crepes or Boba tea in Northeast Ohio suburbs without some driving and digging. North Olmsted’s latest dessert shopCREPEscape was opened by North Olmsted local Hamdi Hamdan and his brother-in-law Mahmoud Sulieman both of whom were born and raised in the city. The pair had always loved desserts like crepes and bubble waffles but would have to drive out of their town to seek them out.
The waffle sticks come in a variety of flavors that change monthly and many of them reflect the core menu flavors. CREPEscape also serves boba tea, ice cream by the scoop, coffee drinks, and Red Bull and Sprite “mocktails.”“We wanted to take a different approach,” Hamdan said of the menu in comparison to other dessert shops. He opted to use underrated fillings like crushed Kit Kats or Kinder Bueno as flavor profiles.
