The incident happened at around 6.30am on the motorway at J2 southbound, with two of three lanes blocked due to the collision, sparking major delays for commuters. Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly afterwards with the road blocked for almost three hours. We dispatched three ambulances, one paramedic response unit and our special operations team to the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.30am on Friday, 8 March, 2024, we received a report of a crash involving four vehicles on the M74 Junction 2. All lanes have re-opened and the vehicles have been recovered.”
