Asked if he did not wonder why communications on Covid fell away during those 10 days, Mr Reynolds said: “I probably should have been but equally I think there would have been others who would normally have said: ‘we need to keep the prime minister updated’.” Asked by Mr Keith who said those words, Mr Shafi replied: “I can’t say for sure, I think it was the former Prime Minister”.
