Random testing was paused on June 11 as a “temporary measure” in order to coordinate how offsite testing would work. It said the expanded availability will give residents more choices to protect themselves against COVID-19 during a period of increased community transmission. “If you have been waiting for a COVID-19 vaccine built on a different technology than those previously available, now is the time to join the millions of Americans who have been vaccinated,” Dr. Rochelle Walensky, CDC’s director, said in a statement, endorsing an earlier decision from an influential advisory panel.
The Angus Reid Institute survey, released Tuesday, found that 68 per cent of Canadians 55 and older are more worried about getting sick compared to 44 per cent for the 35- to 54-year-olds and 43 per cent for 18-to 34-year-olds.
