Eleven new deaths have been recorded, bringing the death toll to 90 148.South Africa recorded 13 992 new Covid-19 cases on Monday and 11 new deaths, increasing the death toll to 90 148, according to the National Institute for Communicable Diseases .Most of the new cases are from Gauteng , followed by KwaZulu-Natal . The Western Cape accounted for 10%; the Free State and North West 5% each; the Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga 4% each; Limpopo 2%; and the Northern Cape 1%.
There was an increase of 422 admissions on Monday. In total, there are 6 198 people in public and private hospitals.
