COVID-19 hits North West mining industry hard eNCA
One of the areas hardest hit is the Bojanala District, which requires more beds for the sick.The field hospital is 95 percent complete and will have a capacity of 200 beds.The price tag for the hospital, which has taken six weeks to build, is R6-million and counting. It's expected to open its doors soon.
"The function of this facility will be for COVID-19 positive people and the employees of the company, as well as community members," said Philip Coetzer, head of safety, health environment at Royal Bafokeng Platinum.
