This is the first time there have been over 1,000 active cases of COVID\u002D19 in B.C.
Henry said there were 86 cases reported between noon Friday and noon Saturday, 107 cases between noon Saturday and noon Sunday and 101 between noon Sunday and noon Monday.
There are 10 active outbreaks in the health-care sector, including a fresh outbreak at the Normanna long-term care facility in Burnaby. Henry said the outbreak at the Holy Family long-term care facility in Vancouver was over.Article content continued In the Fraser Health Region, the worst long-term care facility outbreak was at Langley Lodge with 26 deaths.
Henry said that with the fall coming British Columbians need to scale back their social interactions and return to the basics of COVID-19 prevention.“It means we all need to take a step back and look at our contacts again. We still have very low transmission rates in our community.”
