Complainant was attacked with makeshift clubs, including a bat and crowbar at James Street apartment where he was 'essentially left for dead'
The province's top court has denied a local man's appeal of the seven-year prison term he received for the part he played in a 2019 brutal revenge attack on an individual described as a "drug debt enforcer."
The victim was severely beaten and in the judge's words "essentially left for dead" in the assault that occurred at a James Street apartment. In its decision, the appeal court said Gareau viewed the three men as equally responsible and they all received the same sentence.
