The couple are now in a race against time to get a new passport
A couple's dream wedding is now in jeopardy after their beloved Golden Retriever, Chickie, ate the groom's passport. The two now face battle against time to get an emergency passport and reach their wedding at Lake Garda, Italy on August 31.
On the incident, Frattaroli told Fox News Digital : "It's completely absurd. I can't sleep. I can't be mad at Chickie because I'm the idiot who left the passport out where she could get it. She's too cute to stay mad at. She's done nothing wrong since we got her — and then this happens." The duo are now is a race against time and are appealing to their local senator and state representative to speed up the process which needs to be finished by at least the end of August to make a flight to Italy. The damage to Frattaroli's passport was not just superficial, she tore the identification pages out of the document, even tearing back pages which contained a stamp from Mexico where the couple got engaged in early 2022.
While Marzi added: "For better or worse, this is a testament to what our marriage will look like. We pivoted and just called everyone. It's been a complete whirlwind. It's a test, I think, of what we will do, and how we will treat each other in difficult situations."
