The council issued a statement
spokesperson confirmed:"The front stone-built dormers of this GCC building were found to be in a dangerous condition, and so immediate action in the interests of public safety had to be taken in erecting a temporary exclusion zone on the pavement and road.
"Once the immediate works have taken place and the building made safe, the exclusion zone will be reduced.Pictures of the building with the fence around it were posted to a local Facebook community group.
