The Little Owl Café is nestled among residential buildings
A little café you might not even know exists serves up a delicious breakfast in a tranquil, unassuming setting.
Inside, the small venue is painted in bright and calming white, with stylish exposed bulbs, fairy lights, pretty green plants, and wooden crates housing coffee and snacks from local independent traders. There's a feature wall behind the counter painted in stylish dark blue, and it offers an extensive menu of breakfasts, lunches, snacks, sweet treats and more.
I'm not the biggest fan of a traditional Full English breakfast but thoroughly enjoyed this dish, particularly thanks to the generous serving of halloumi. Vegetarian breakfasts don't always have a tasty substitute in place of the meat, and I appreciated The Little Owl's commitment to offer something hearty, filling and a little different to the usual veggie Full English options.
The sausages were a little dry and bland, but that's a minor complaint for such a tasty and filling breakfast. After I'd finished eating, I found it difficult to get up and go, as the café creates such a tranquil, inviting and cosy setting.
