When one door closes, another one opens—and that's certainly the case with Costco.
. He revealed that there was initially a plan to convert the 150,000-square-foot store into a Costco Business Center.
However, after two-and-a-half months of reviewing conversion options, Costco's operations team concluded that this could not be done in a cost-effective manner, due to the size of the store and smaller business center. And ultimately, the impending closure didn't come as a surprise to Kuchta.
Despite the upcoming closure, Cincinnati-area residents still have something to look forward to. On November 17, they will have access to a 160,529-square-foot Costco store, which is also part of the $133 million Freedom Pointe development. This project will also feature 402 apartments and townhomes, affiliates in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and a hotel, along with additional plans for more retail stores, restaurants, and offices.
