Corvette fans camp in freezing temps for chance at E-Ray reservation.
, potential Corvette E-Ray customers have been camping outside of MacMulkin Chevrolet since Monday night in an effort to secure a reservation for the electrified sports car. The crowd of Corvette fans has been made up of folks from all across the country, including Tom Biondo from Staten Island, New York. Biondo is a current C8 Stingray owner, but he's so interested in an E-Ray that he brought tents and air mattresses to the dealership in preparation for orders going live on February 1.
If any Chevy dealership was going to have radical fans camping outside its door for several winter nights, MacMulkin would rank at the top of that list. MacMulkin Chevrolet is regularly one of the top Corvette dealers in the world when measuring sales volume, and as such, it will be among the first dealers to get their hands on E-Ray allocations.
