Coronation Street extra ‘fired after 36 years over cheeky selfie with Andi Peters’
A longstanding Coronation Street cast member has lost his role in the soap after taking a selfie with well-known TV presenter Andi Peters.
But, come Monday 11 April, Matthew had been let go from his job on the cobbles after his agency, Industry Model Management, fired him. “You’re not supposed to have your phone out on set but everyone does. It’s a rule that’s never really been enforced.” Matthew’s not the only person to have recently left Corrie. Alexandra Mardell, also known as Emma Brooker, made her emotional exit on Friday night.
