Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has confirmed her character's daughter is set to join the show shortly after it was revealed she now had a permanent place on the cobbles.
More recently, viewers have seen Swain face backlash from Daisy Midgeley after the police failed to stop her stalker Justin Rutherford. He launched a horrific acid attack on her wedding day and was seen hunting down serial killer Stephen Reid back in October; only for him to be ploughed into and killed on the street by Peter Barlow.READ MORE: Read more of our Coronation Street stories here
Previously sharing how she feels about being back on the cobbles, Vicky told the Manchester Evening News: "It's always a joy to get that call but I think in particular this time, once the scripts landed and I knew the storyline... Addressing details that viewers may not know about Swain, Vicky says the character has a teenage daughter and is gay. But as for whether there's someone on the street for her, the actress teased: "I think for Swain, she perhaps has seen somebody whose caught her eye but she's far too busy focussing on this investigation and her career, being a single mum and a home life as well.
