The 45-year-old fell into the River Wyre on January 27 which her family believe happened as she was trying to put her dog Willow's harness back on
A coroner has ruled the death of Nicola Bulley was accidental, and the much-loved mum died after falling into the River Wyre while out walking her dog.
Nikki's partner Paul, who had known her for 12 years, would usually expect her to return home from her morning walks at around 10am. When it got to 10.30am he "started to get concerned" and sent her a text saying: "Have you got lost?" Today , an inquest into Nikki's death, which has been held at County Hall in Preston, concluded her tragic death was accidental.
On the potential involvement of third parties, he noted that all of the witnesses who were in the area did not note anyone suspicious in the area of the field where Nikki was walking. With crowds of press photographers and TV crews camped out by the entrances to the building Nikki's dignified family spoke of the "incredible mum" who was "loved by everyone".
Clearly not comfortable being in the spotlight Paul broke down in tears and had to take a short break as he talked of his pride in Nikki for resitting her mortgage advisor exams after taking a hiatus from her career to look after her two girls.
