Coronation: The journey to Westminster Abbey in 2023 vs 1953Before his coronation, King Charles III will make the short journey from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.
It's almost the same one his mother Queen Elizabeth II took 70 years ago, but this time around it's slightly shorter. We've gone into the archives and found footage of the route the Queen took in 1953, and recreated it as a comparison with the 2023 procession.
