Leanne Battersby is faced with another heart-wrenching decision in Coronation Street 's latest cult plotline. Viewers have watched as Leanne , has been increasingly manipulated by The Institute in recent episodes. Cult leader Rowan Cunliffe has been luring her deeper into the cult by promising to reunite her with her son. In chilling scenes, Leanne revealed to her partner Nick Tilsley an AI version of her deceased son, Oliver, whom she has been communicating with.
But to everyone's shock, it's Nick who stays by Toyah's side. Meanwhile, Leanne's attention is on The Institute, as Amy Barlow informs her that she plans to invest her inheritance in the new resource centre, but requires approval from Ken. At the hospital, Nick is approached by a consultant with news. He rings Leanne, informing her that Toyah has experienced complications and she needs to rush over immediately.
