There’s a twist ahead in Joel’s story Joel Deering was finally hauled in by police in recent Coronation Street scenes – but there’s a big twist ahead. Solicitor Joel has been avoiding the consequences of his actions since attacking Lauren Bolton and leaving her for dead earlier this year. Lauren went missing after the attack, and a full investigation was launched into her suspected murder.
Lauren hasn’t been the only young woman targeted by Joel however, as he was previously violent towards Betsy Swain after she began blackmailing him for trying to get Sabrina Adetiba drunk. When Betsy told mum DS Lisa Swain about what Joel had done, Lisa hauled him in for questioning, and though he managed to talk his way out of it, Lisa remained suspicious.
