A huge development in tonight's episode of the ITV soap saw a resident make a confession about Joel Deering.
Betsy worried about her future Betsy Swain confessed her involvement in Lauren Bolton’s early labour during tonight’s episode of Coronation Street. Shortly after we first met Betsy, she blackmailed Joel into keeping the truth about him a secret for money. Joel used this to his advantage somewhat, as he managed to get Betsy to purchase labour inducing drugs in return for cash. Not only did it keep Betsy quiet, but it decreased the chance of Joel being accused of buying the tablets.

Because of her determination to nail Joel and put him behind bars, Swain had no choice but to take her daughter to the police station for a statement.
