Senior animal keeper Dan Trevelyan said the chicks looked 'a lot like dinosaurs' when they hatched.
Newquay Zoo is celebrating the arrival of three green araçari toucan chicks, which one keeper likened to something slightly more pre-historic.
All three chicks – two males and one female – have just fledged, meaning that they were now able to fly. The female, who is 12-years-old, has been at Newquay Zoo since 2017, while the young male arrived from Cotswolds Wildlife Park in February.
