The KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg sentenced Constable Lindokuhle Sikhakhane, 2 after he pleaded guilty to the murder of his friend and pregnant fiancé.He said he called his fiancé, Samkelisiwe Mtshali, on 6 January 2023 and that she told him she wasn't feeling well.He tried calling her several times after that, but she didn't answer.He then went to his friend, Sandile Nene , who owned a vehicle, asking him for a lift to Nquthu.
"He then got into the driver's seat and continued to Nquthu, leaving Nene's body on the side of the road," Ramkisson-Kara said.Grease and desist! The man apologised to him, saying that he didn't know Mtshali had a fiancé. Sikhakhane finally managed to contact Mtshali, and they decided that they would drive back to Pietermaritzburg together on 8 January 2023," Ramkisson-Kara said.
